One shoot. Four stories. Endless elevation.
Columbia tapped us to concept, direct, and produce their Spring ’25 Hike campaign: capturing four distinct product stories across two climates (Hot / Dry & Wet / Lush) and two performance tiers (Pro & Casual), all in a single production.
They needed an elevated but still outdoor campaign that would scale globally across all channels: retail, social, web, CRM, and OOH, built around authenticity, versatility, and performance. The timeline was tight, the ask was complex, and the location was undefined.

The Creative Concept
We built our creative around the idea that the elements are the story. Weather and terrain became active characters, testing the gear, pushing the cast, and guiding the visuals. Product wasn’t just worn, it was essential to moving forward. Macro textures, raw landscapes, and real hikers brought emotion and grit to every frame.
THE SOLUTIOn
Madeira Island, Portugal. A single location with microclimates and terrain that allowed us to shoot everything back-to-back across four days. From mossy rainforest to dry volcanic cliffs, Madeira gave us visual and functional contrast while streamlining logistics and maximizing scale.

THE CAPTURE
86 hiking miles.
4 shoot days.
We partnered with a local fixer and a world-class hiking guide, built a nimble expert crew, including the incredible photographer Will Saunders, and pre-scouted the entire island. Our cast included real hikers and working guides. Our shoot matrix tracked light, terrain, skill level, and weather which allowed us to pivot in real-time while keeping the story intact.
